A little bit of etiquette... I doubt very seriously that the person this is directed toward will ever see it. But perhaps someone who needs to hear this will, and I will have done my duty.

Marking all of your e-mails sent to me as "high priority" gets them auto-directed into the trash. All of them. Just because you fell behind on your duty, or you have a last minute thing that *you* want done does not mean that I'm going to drop what I'm doing just because you marked your e-mail with a red flag. In fact, it's more likely that you will be put off indefinitely because I really do auto-filter all messages marked that way into the trash, and you will either have to resend your request in a normal tone, or be forced to use your indoor voice on my telephone because we know that passive-aggressive dolts like you never see that red flag as anything but your right.

Get over yourself.
