Best customer service goes to...
Bunn !

We drink a lot of coffee, so we bought a Bunn coffee maker. (They brew a full pot in about 5 minutes... no more waiting 20 minutes on Mr. Coffee!) A few years ago, they came out with a model that has a carafe instead of a glass pot, and we got it for Christmas.

Since then, a couple of things have gone wrong. There is a spout on the machine that the hot water comes out of and into the filter basket. It sort of looks like a little plastic shower head. If you don't have that piece, you get a big mess and no coffee. At some point, it fell off into the coffee grounds, and since it was black and matched the grounds, we threw it into the trash without realizing it.

Once we figured that out, I went to the web site, looked it up, e-mailed customer service and within a week I had another one at my doorstep - FREE.

A couple of months ago they issued a recall and mailed out replacement parts ... Free.

FFWD a year or so after we got the carafe model and it was leaking when you pour. We have hard water here, so a good scrubbing usually takes care of it for a day or so, but it slowly got worse. I was watching the Bunn web site to see when they would make them available (they were temporarily unavailable for over 6 months) so I could buy one. I finally e-mailed them to inquire about it, and they let me know they would send me one when they were available. That was just a little over 2 weeks ago... and on my doorstep yesterday morning was a NEW Carafe! And it's made a bit differently so it would be so leaky! Did I mention, it was FREE?!?

Those people RULE!
