Baby Gargy!
I
made this for my friend Trudi for
Christmas.
The story here is that the little kitty was wandering
through the garden and stumbled
upon an egg... he climbed the egg
and WHAT IS THAT?!?!?
The Baby Gargoyle is very confused - his wings
are not yet dry, his color has
not yet come in all the way,
he's a little soft... and here
is this little kitten standing
on his "house" making an odd face!
Both are from patterns: :"Galin the baby Gargoyle"
is from a pattern by Shelley Hawkey,
the Kitty is "Mr Grayson" - a felting
kit by Chris Hanner. The "stone" egg
started out as paper mache, I marked
it and Mark cut it into a "jagged" edge then covered
the inside with a thin layer of
Paper Clay to hide the bumps, and
painted it with Fleck stone.The
base is wood, painted brown, covered
in Moss - the moss is some kind
of real moss - it smells like a
bog!
