Lisa Risler of Lisa's Heaven issued a Challenge, the dolls were to be displayed and judged at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. The Challenge was named "Bag n Baggage", and the rule was that you had to incorporate a bag of some kind, and you had to use at least 3 of the 4 fabrics chosen.

My entry is from a pattern by Laly Tapia "Usebella Bag Doll" that appeared in SD&A early in 2005.

I named my entry "Take Me With You". She is holding a map ready for adventure! The Map fabric was part of the kit.

She took 3rd place in the competition. :)

The comments I heard from viewers were that they didn't know she was a back pack, so when I got her home, I setup my dress form and took some photos so you can see the straps "in action" .
