Knitting: Coming soon!

I have been making costumes of all kinds for about 20 years. When I started, I didn't think anything of taking photos - the only people that would want to see them would see them in person... so all I have are a few snapshots from various projects.

I'll try to do better. :)

Arrrrrrrr! Pirates!

Kids!
We participated in a Mardi-Gras cook off as a Krewe of Pirates. No one understood the reference to New Orleans and Pirates, but we had fun anyway. (Some didn't appreciate our humor... BAH!)

Here is the Chicken sitting in her nest, waiting patiently to become part of the gumbo...

And here is the chicken meeting her "demise"...

And just in case the Chicken tried to escape, we had the Dread Pirate Avery with his pet monkey to keep the chicken in line!

We had an entry in the Parade - this is our "float" along with our mascots. (we let the chicken live...)

And they won!

The year before, Mark went to work as Capt. Jack Sparrow:

Mark spent 2 months growing his beard/moustache for this. The "points" are not his hair though.

Another close-up without all the squinting.

Really old costumes taken with really low tech cameras:

Ren Garb, cir. 1998

Basic Peasant garb (sans boots)

No outfit is complete without a TAIL!
