Cat, anyone?
So we have some cats. 2 of them are rather FAT. I put them all on a diet. One of them is not happy. So he has taken to dragging my yarn all over the house to show me he is not happy with his "nutrition program". At first it was kind of funny because it's all the red heart yarn I have in this one basket I keep for weird projects - doll hair, use for string when I can't find any - basically, utility yarn. It's annoying because I have to pick it up every day, but I can get over that. Until today. Yesterday he did the mother of all protests - took ALL of the skeins/balls out of the basket and placed them down the stairs - on different steps and into the living room. I wasn't in for most of the day so they didn't get gathered and put away, they got gathered and left in a pile until I felt like dragging them back up here. So he started looking for more yarn. Ahem. And found another basket - this was "inherited" yarn - pretty good stuff but not something I bought with a project in mind. And it had a practice crochet piece in it... instead of taking the piece, he took the skein, and dragged it into the hall - frogging half the project. I am not amused...

Entrelac bag is OFF the needles!
FINALLY! I have to decide now if I want to felt it, or make a liner for it and use it like it is. I rather like the way it looks... but it needs blocking.

Barbossa-esque and Jack
This is a costume I put together for my husband. It's not intended that he look just like Barbossa, but the hat makes everyone call out BARBOSSA when we walk in public. LOL Clearly there is much more to do before there is any kind of accuracy... (undead monkey, anyone?) This is the work of our friend Dwayne. He has painstakingly put together this costume with a LOT of attention to detail. He even made the pistol himself. From a spoon and other metal scrap pieces.
Pirates at the mall!
Stupid red eye! I'll edit it later..
The hat!
FINISHED! Made of Felt, ostrich plumes, and leather.

Knitting Meme
Every once in a while I find one of these and just have to do it. I think that in "memory" of my friend Angela, who is stuck out in the middle of nowhere on a farm for a week, I will add some comments for her amusement when she finally makes it to the Library to check her e-mail... LOL Thanks to Clumberknits for this one. Bold for stuff you've done, italics for stuff you plan to do one day, and normal for stuff you're not planning on doing. She's LYING
Angela is just jealous... I did not steal her shoes. I bought these! Just because she had a headache and didn't have the energy to get out and find the COOLEST shoes ever doesn't mean she has to be RUDE! :P Can you believe her?!?

Angela is jealous...
 GOSH!
Grab bag of silliness!
Some really nice person donated a TON of doll parts and makings to our group today, and this is what I picked out to bring home and make a doll for a kid. I think it's hilarious! He needs to be re-painted green-ish and he needs feet of some kind... LOL
No one comments...
So I found out today that several people actually read this...(Hi Lanza!) OOPS! I will try to make it more interesting... You know, you COULD comment once in a while... I'm just sayin'!

Stop hatin' on the Little Rascals!
Most of the time, I ignore those "gloom and doom" e-mails that get forwarded to me. This time though, it made me mad. Apparently, there is someone on the planet who feels like it's necessary to drag up a bunch of dirt on the members of the Our Gang Follys, and attributing the character of Spanky to the scum bag Robert Blake. Uhm, NO. Robert WAS in some of the shorts, but he was NOT Spanky. People need to stop hatin'!

Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End
On May 26th, at about 11am, there will be a gathering of Pirates at Deerbrook Mall. These are the costumes I am working on so we can join the gathering. They aren't complete - I'm on my way to find buttons ... This is a "new" hat... I got it at a costume shop... it's made out of something weird though... I have to find a mannekin head to stretch it over, and then get rid of the silly snaps and add the feathers... and possibly some trim? This is Mark's coat. As you can see, it needs ironing in a bad way. But there is no sense in that until the buttons are added... More coming as I complete things...
