The dingleberry that took over the world!
GROSS!

We have this cat that is very shy. He only comes out in the evening or when there is only one adult home. He's fat, lazy, long haired and hides under things so he has never learned to properly groom himself. Anyone with a long haired cat knows about cutting dingleberries...

So the latest bout I noticed a few days ago when - you guessed it - he put it in my face while I was sleeping. (insert barfing sound here) I tried the "soak his butt so he will clean it" trick.. that didn't work. Yesterday, he was walking like a baby with a load in it's diaper... so I dragged him downstairs and Mark held him down while I cut it off. Now... this is all unremarkable to those who have cats... and totally disgusting to those who don't. Why did I post it? Because TODAY... he is REMINISCING about the DINGLEBERRY by walking around and making that lion mouth on the places where he put it ... GROSS! It's like he misses it or something!!!

Tiny doll sweaters
Part of the charity doll project:
Isn't this CUTE?!?! She will be going to a good home, but I'll miss her!

Her sweater is a Whimsymoon design, knit with KnitPicks Memories.
The gray sweater is from Charmed Knits - it doesn't have a place yet...
(but this tiny bendi doll on my desk is looking like a potential match...)

They need clothes!
I'm helping the doll club make doll clothes for some donated vinyl dolls and doll parts... I brought these home to knit some clothes for. Aren't they CUTE!

And to be fair, I brought this one home for Angela to do:

Helping hands jello
What do you do with a bunch of donated vinyl doll hands that are the type which require glue and you don't want to make charity dolls with them? Why, you put them in your jello, of course!

Seriously, a very nice person donated a bunch of vinyl doll heads, hands, feet, AND fabric to our doll club, and we are making dolls from them to donate to organizations that will give them to kids that need them. But there were all these hands that didn't really have a head... and we couldn't decide what to do, so I took some and turned them into helping hands - they "hand" you the fruit from the jello.

Yes, they were sterilized before I put them in the jello, and yes, people did eat it.

Shameless plug
The Castle Bed is now on eBay. Check it out! The item number is 180132977539

Curious as a cat...
Week Number Seventy-One :

In your opinion, who do you think would benefit most from meditation?
- People who suffer from things like road rage...

What is your favorite characteristic in girls/women?
- uhm.... I'll get back to you on that...

If you were 6 inches tall for a day, what would you do?
- I would totally run around in an office and say sarcastic things in people's ear...

Hedgehog!
I have been uninspired lately.. but I did finish this little guy. :)

This is from a Kit put together by someone on Etsy.com

Castle Bed
If you are in the Houston Area, and have small kids, you might be interested in this bed. My husband made it for my son when he was about 6 years old. He is now 14 and almost 6 feet tall... LOL

Burd and Ernie
I have a rule when I go thrift store hunting. Since most of those are for a good cause, I pick up one "rescue" item if I see one. This weekend, I found 2.

Meet Burd:

Burd has problems. His wings are on backwards, and one of his feet is about to come off! He traveled with us for several hours and looked so sad about his foot, I had to make a bandage for him.

Then I was in another resale place and I heard this muffled HRMFFFFF!!!!!! Sound... I looked over, and it was ERNIE!

Ernie and Burd became fast friends - Ernie talked Burds head off because he had been stuck in a glass case with some thimbles and a lighter... and they didn't talk at ALL!

Now Ernie is on a quest to find the rest of his pals from Sesame Street, and Burd has agreed to help .... once he gets his problems taken care of!

Taggers! UGH!
I've been tagged!

Here are the rules:

Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write in their blogs the 7 facts, as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

7 Random Facts about me:

1) I was adopted when I was 5 days old. I have never officially met my birth parents, and I'm not really interested.

2) I am a DCM Level 1 Facilitator. (figure that out!)

3) If I didn't have to pretend to be "normal" I would have wildly colored hair all the time - probably in dreads and with yarn falls too.

4) If I could change one thing about the world, I would completely remove the concept of political correctness.

5) I started sewing when I was about 10 and have been doing it ever since.

6) I was a band geek: my nickname in High School was Bubblegum because one day at Band practice I got 50 demerits for chewing gum. (The same day, my friend Keven got 100 demerits - 50 for not being at practice and 50 for not bringing his drum. He was at work.)

7) I love the Will it Float game on Letterman.

I'm tagging: Mary, Elaine, Trish, Jim, Dusti, Amy, and Tasha!
