School is in!
Today is the first day of school. YAY for quiet house!
But then I was hit with a wave of nostalgia as I passed a frame in our home with this photo:
This was the first day of Kindergarten for my son, and the first day of Middle school for my daughter.
Fast Forward to today:
This is the first day of High School for my son... notice he's much less enthusiastic about it. (Not to mention, slightly taller...)

New bag - how many pics can I put in one post?
So I made this bag... it might just be THE ultimate knitting bag. It's for sale in my etsy store.
The base is 12" X 12", about 15" tall, and about 18" wide across the top. It is based on McCall's pattern number 4851, and has a cool skull bandanna fabric...
There are 8 pockets inside that will hold a pretty big ball of yarn each, or a large bottle of water, or whatever you want to put in there. The best part is the insert that has a middle part that will hold a pattern book without having to fold, spindle or mutilate it. I cut 2 pockets off one side of the insert and replaced them with some slots for pens, pencils or DPN's.
It needs a couple of things, like a couple of loops for positioning yarn so it won't get tangled, but that's easy.

A little bit of etiquette...
I doubt very seriously that the person this is directed toward will ever see it. But perhaps someone who needs to hear this will, and I will have done my duty.
Marking all of your e-mails sent to me as "high priority" gets them auto-directed into the trash. All of them. Just because you fell behind on your duty, or you have a last minute thing that *you* want done does not mean that I'm going to drop what I'm doing just because you marked your e-mail with a red flag. In fact, it's more likely that you will be put off indefinitely because I really do auto-filter all messages marked that way into the trash, and you will either have to resend your request in a normal tone, or be forced to use your indoor voice on my telephone because we know that passive-aggressive dolts like you never see that red flag as anything but your right.
Get over yourself.

Tangent: Eddie the Dog
We inherited this puppy a few years ago that a friend found in a parking lot. "His feet are small, he won't get very big." (If someone ever says that to you, RUN the other way, ok?)
When he arrived, he was small enough to fit in a size 5 shoe. Now, his MOUTH is the size of a size 5 shoe. ANYway, because of his behavior, we have always known he was some kind of pointer/hound, but we never knew for sure or anything.
The redneck AT&T guy saw me walking him today (they are digging up our back yard where Eddie lives, so I had to walk him in the front yard so he could handle his BUSINESS!) and said "'cuse me ma'am, but is that a blue tick?" and as if on cue, Eddie saw the workers in the back yard through the fence, and let out one of his best bays! LOL I think I saw some drool come out of that guys mouth...
So anyway, I came back in and looked up blue tick hound and found a couple of interesting photos:

Knitting ADHD...
I have cast on this hat 3 times now. I made 4 rounds of the k2p2 rib, but I frogged it. This time I haven't even made 2 rounds and I already screwed it up. IT'S K2P2 But apparently I can't pay attention that long! UGH!
Is it just me?
