New skates! This is what I got for Christmas:



Yesterday I went to the local rink... at one point, one minute I was standing up, the next I was sitting down. I'm sure that was not pretty. LMAO!

Know anyone who wants a pair of skates?

Isabelle is here. :) My oldest friend had her baby today.

Isabelle weighs 6 lbs 13 oz and is 20 inches long. She has a head full of hair and looks a lot like her Daddy. Isn't she sweet?!?

I think I have to stop calling her my "friend" now and just claim her as my sister. This is the second (of 4) that I was there to watch be born, and when her doctor came in the room, he said "oh you are her sister".... as did about 3 other people who have never seen us before. Fine. I guess after all this, I'll claim you. ;-)

Tag THIS! Just when I had nothing better to do... Angela tagged me!

That's ok, she tagged me for 5 random things. Wait until you see what I tag HER with... :P

1) One time I drove all the way from Texas to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore, and when we got there, it was closed for renovations...

2) The only thing that I actually like to do during this time of year is pop in Serendipity and make cookies for my friends. Everything else I can do without. (bah humbug)

3) I saw Stevie Wonder in concert. I have decided that he would be fun at a party. Who knew?!? (Even though he didn't play my favorite... )

4) My friend Angela thinks she's funny because she keeps telling people that I steal from her. Nevermind that I never see her because she is always ALWAYS stuck in her glass house with no curtains... and when she does venture out, it's to go somewhere with a crazy woman. (WHY would you do that?) Perhaps if she had some curtains, the crazy person couldn't see her working in there on those dolls and bears and wouldn't ask for a free ride all the time... LOL
Incidentally - this purse and the latest crocs (that match the purse, I might add) are MINE and I have receipts! Jealousy is not a good color on you Angie girl!

Moving things around a bit... It's sad when you have 5 gmail accounts. So I combined all of them into one and moved everything to this account. Hopefully this won't break...

Edit: it did not break, but all the old posts show up under "Susan" and the new ones show up under "Sunshine" and now there is a contributor list on the right. It can stay there until I finally delete the blogger account permanently. I'm just not sure what happens to the old messages if I delete it now... and I don't have time to deal with that today. :)

The Ultimate! Perhaps I'm not the only one with this opinion, so I'll post it here and see if we can start a movement... (LOL!)

I use 'ultimate glue' all the time. They recently re-designed their packaging (I assume to facilitate the ease with which some of their OTHER products come out of the bottle...) I realize that these caps might work better for some other products, but they are TERRIBLE for this glue. I hate them. They clog badly, there is no easy way to clean them out (unlike the old lids where a toothpick would clear the dried glue quickly), and it seems that the plastic in the 2 bottles I have is a bit stiffer than the old bottles? They are terribly hard to squeeze. Also, the old bottles allowed me to cut the tip with a craft knife so I could have one angled tip, and make one with a larger hole if I wanted.

Nothing is worse than a paper project with a sucky bottle of glue. Grrrrr...

(But we could have done without the interruption at the end from the Huggy Senator, and that drunk girl almost got a boot upside the back of her head.)
