Fabric for Sale
ETA: SOLD! (SWEET!!!)

I recently bought out the Sewing room at an estate sale. The items I purchased had belonged to a woman who ran a business from her home sewing for others. (Her sewing room was Awesome!) Anyway, the purchase included 5 U-haul Wardrobe boxes full of fabric that had been bundled and marked. I have sorted through the fabric and have outlined the boxes and contents here. If you are interested in a complete box, keep reading. If you just want to peruse the spoils, that will come later at my in-person sale. (Hopefully at the end of this month.)

E-mail me if you are interested - I'm not shipping, but if you are in/around Houston I will meet you in the middle if you like.

Note: These photos are just snap shots, they do not do any justice to the quality or colors of the fabrics.

Sorted boxes - LARGE U-Haul Wardrobe boxes (with the metal stabilizer bars at top)

Box 1:

Mostly for Quilting
Seasonal: Christmas, Halloween, "Fall"
Western "theme"
Tapestry (Fall, Teddy Bears, Horses..)
Pillow panels
"stuffed" animal panels (ducks, turtles, pumpkin)
This box contains a LOT of yardage, especially in Western fabrics.
Excellent for quilting, home decor, bags/purses.
Estate folks priced these items well over $150.
This box is about 1/2 full.
Entire Box: $75

Box 2:

Fleece
Flannel
Fake fur
Pre-quilted (backing) Ends (few yards)

This box also contains a ton of yardage in Fleece, Flannel and fake fur. The quilted ends might have as much as half a yard intact, some have much more. Excellent for Placemats, throw blankets, stuffed animals, potentially doll hair. There is also some fabric that looks like "fun fur" - multiple yards in black, white and maroon... there might also be a brown bundle in there.
Estate folks priced these items well over $200
This box is FULL.
Entire Box: $60

Box 3: Yardage

Multi yards of bottom weight, suiting, shirting, poly blends, rayon, seersucker, few knits, in both fall and spring colors. Excellent for "dress" clothes, jackets, pants, blouse, other couture sewing. Contains pin stripes, solids, a couple of wider stripes, one or 2 plaid (seer sucker). The smallest bundle said 4 yards, most of these are 6 yards and up.
Estate folks priced these items well over $400
This box is nearly full (and very densely packed).
Entire box: $150

Smaller boxes:

Denim Box:

Guesstimate: about 60 yards in various weight/colors of Denim. Most of it is yardage, 6 yards and up. There are a few pieces that are remnant bundles, but the remnants in this case are about 16" X 16".
(This was used for embroidery - small designs put on an 8" square and then formed into a pocket for a denim shirt or sweat shirt.)
Estate folks priced these items well over $100
Amount estimate: This will fill about 2/3 of a 13 gallon white trash bag.
Entire box: $50 OBO

Specialty Fabrics:

Mostly remnants (half yard and up) of taffeta, lace, tulle, brocade, satin, other glitzy fabrics used in formal attire. Several yards/colors of a sport jersey mesh fabric, typically used for the lower part of a football jersey One bolt of "metal" fabric (it's mostly white with silver threads running through it... not sure why they labeled it metal) There is also a bundle of "faux leather", and a bundle of blue "ostrich skin" vinyl.
There will be some suit lining remnants added to this box. Fabric colors include red, teal, green, silver, maroon.
Estate folks priced these items well over $100
Amount estimate: This will almost completely fill a 13 gallon white trash bag.
Entire box: $75 OBO

Remnants: (Not shown)
Small bundles (1 yard and smaller - down to fat quarter size) of mostly cotton fabrics. Prints, solids, marbled, checks - perfect for quilting. Novelty prints (Bob the Builder, Little Orphan Annie). Bundles of suiting remnants, few bundles of knit print, several 1 yard pieces of solid cotton. This would be excellent for someone who just started quilting, or for making small "doll size" quilts, bags, etc. The pieces are small, the majority of the fabrics are a good quality, but there are not necessarily enough pieces to make a large themed quilt.
Estate folks priced these items well over $100
Amount estimate: This will almost completely fill a yard-size black trash bag.
Entire box: $25 OBO

FELT! (Not shown)
The brightest LIME GREEN Felt on a bolt you have ever seen, also comes with a group of friends - all colors, yardage and pre-cut sheets. This is craft felt.
Amount estimate: other than the bolt, this would fill about half of a 13 gallon white trash bag.
But WAIT! There's MORE! Act now and you will also receive the beginnings of a Toothbrush Rug, circa 1989, including the toothbrush tool and fabric to complete it! Be the envy of all your friends!
Entire box: $15 OBO
